Consumer Law Handbook

The Consumer Protection Act, envisages direct involvement by citizens to ensure that their rights are protected. Yet, people are often hesitant to approach the legal mechanism for speedy redressal of consumer grievances.

In order to improve legal awareness in this regard, the students published a handbook on 'Consumer Law in India'. The handbook dealt with the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 as well as consumer rights. The handbook's main objective was to simplify the legal provisions so that they were easier to understand and use. The handbook was distributed in prominent locations in Bengaluru.
