Fireside Chat on "Justice with Numbers" with Ms. Maja Daruwala

The Legal Services Clinic organised a Fireside Chat with one of India’s foremost voices in the realm of civil liberties and human rights, Ms. Maja Daruwala on May 7, 2025 at the NLS Library. The event was open to all members of the NLS community.

Ms. Daruwala, the Editor-in-Chief of the India Justice Report and a Barrister at Lincoln’s Inn provided invaluable insights into the state of civil liberties in India, with a special focus on the India Justice Report 2025.

The session, moderated by an NLS student, Malhar Satav explored the IJR 2025, a seminal report that critically evaluates the justice delivery system in India, and discuss its broader implications for civil liberties. The Chat started with a presentation by Ms. Daruwala on the findings of the 2025 India Justice Report, followed by a Question-and-Answer session by the audience.​
